A Message From Jill

I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher who has worked in education for over 30 years. In addition to qualified teacher status I hold a specialist post graduate dyslexia qualification which qualifies me to assess, report and diagnose dyslexia. I am highly experienced in diagnosing learners with dyslexia and providing ongoing advice and guidance. As an associate member of the British Dyslexia Association I am able to access regular training and information updates.

Until very recently I was working as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and Deputy Head in a local state school. My considerable SEND experience includes supporting children with a wide range of additional needs to make progress, to learn and to build their self-esteem. Working with and advising colleagues and parents has been a key aspect of my role.

In my experience a clear understanding of a child’s needs and identification of ways forward can empower a learner to overcome barriers and succeed.
